In the Wild

I am interested in contributing to the broader intellectual culture. For this I was awarded a 2022 Marc Sanders Philosophy in the Media Fellowship. I write a substack (blogging is back, baby!) that is about things that I love and why they are beautiful. It's called Critical Chunks. Read it here and subscribe to the right!

Below is a list of public facing things I've already done.

An essay on the first three seasons of The Bear for Aesthetics for Birds

A video essay on the connections between poetry and philosophy for Penn's Big Ideas in Strange Times series

My contribution to Aesthetics for Birds' series 100 Philosophers, 100 Artworks, 100 Words series, on Kathleen Graber's America series of poems and the relationship between poetry and philosophy

I was interviewed for Omnia Magazine right before The Good Place finale

An essay about Anthony Bourdain and the virtue of being an enthusiast for Omnia Magazine

I was interviewed about The Good Place for the Christian Science Monitor

I was interviewed about the norms of political civility in light of the Red Hen Restaurant refusing to serve Sarah Huckabee Sanders for Knowledge@Wharton

A video essay about the justification of being a fan for Omnia Magazine
